Peacock Feathers - The Perfect Symbol for Wedding Invitations

Peacock Spots
Invitation Design

Why are peacock feathers the perfect symbol to use for your wedding stationery?
When you think of peacock feathers what images do you conjure up in your mind?  The “eye” of the feather?  Opulence?  The stunning blue and green hues?  In actual fact, it is only the male peacocks that are brightly coloured; the female peacock has brown and grey feathers.

During mating season, a male peacock displays extravagant, blue-green plumes of tail feathers to impress the female birds.  Not enormously dissimilar to humans...!  Well, maybe not quite the same.  But let’s be honest, when we meet someone in this crazy world of ours that we are attracted to, we, men and women, get spruced up in order to impress that someone special.  What you may not have realised about peacocks, is that in many cultures across the world, they symbolise a variety of meanings such as patience, kindness, compassion and good fortune.

Check out our Peacock Spots wedding invitation design...now that you understand the symbolic meaning, don’t you think this could be a beautiful way to show your wedding guests how you feel about your future husband or wife...?!

Happy wedding planning!
